What you’ll do:

You get to lead amazing teams in the delivery of digital solutions for our Client products (Internet, TV, Home Phone, Bundles). You will be part of the leadership team responsible for creating and enhancing customer centric solutions, helping our customers find the right solution for their home connectivity and entertainment needs.

To be successful in this digital role, you will bring a continuous improvement mindset, a collaborative approach, expertise in scaling kanban and scrum delivery practices, have a desire to bring change resulting in positive impact on how we work and of course have a love of all things digital. You’ll also bring your people leadership skills to coach and support the team and help grow their careers.

  • Act as the single point of contact and owner of the activities for your product portfolio
  • Advocate for and drive digital adoption throughout our organization
  • Support and coach our Product Owners and Scrum Masters/iteration managers to deliver customer value using kanban and scrum practices
  • Help teams highlight and remove impediments
  • Along with the team leads, champion the use of data and voice of customer to help in prioritization and delivery of improvements on experiences already created
  • Foster and build strong relationships with our marketing and technology partners to effectively prioritize initiatives
  • Experience in digital environments with a focus on continuous delivery and a deep experience working with and scaling kanban and scrum practices; you are flexible in your approach and tailor it to the environment as needed; and you knowledge share to grow the skill set of scrum masters on the team
  • A strong focus on collaboration to achieve the goals of the team
  • An ability to critically assess and improve delivery practices
  • Highly organized with a demonstrated ability to delegate, monitor and manage high volume workloads
  • Ability to effectively problem-solve and deal with complex project issues to anticipate and assess risks, contingency plans and manage change in a complex environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, coach, set goals and provide feedback to develop team members
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, compelling messages for a senior management audience (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work effectively with various levels of management and cross-functional teams
  • Strong desire to roll up your sleeves and get things done

We’re well down the path on our journey; the next step is to solve business problems utilizing digital across our organization. You will have to influence the teams to partner and deliver the b2b cross-segment digital blueprint. The goal is to enable a digitally enabled organization.

We believe in challenging our assumptions and beliefs on a daily basis; collaborating and validating ideas with customers; planning for ambiguity and being ready for constant change. In the strat team we bridge customer experience, technology, people and process.

To be successful in the team, you: 

  • Have 5+ years of experience in a digital strategy environment

  • Create/maintain/rebuild/challenge the b2b cross-segment roadmap
  • Work with teams across business segments to identify the best way to achieve customer needs and business goals while ensuring we maintain the agility needed to respond to future customer and business needs
  • Work with key stakeholders to translate complex technology challenges and opportunities into meaningful business stories
  • Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders across the organization
  • Build strong relationships with key partners external to the organization
  • Drive and support the build of key communications and presentations
  • Co-ordinate with business segment teams to ensure the outcomes of an activity maintains relentless focus on the end-to-end digital b2b cross-segment strategy
  • Co-ordinate with business segment teams to identify pain points in the systems and infrastructure development pipeline and work to resolve
  • Identify areas of opportunities within our existing technology to streamline and simplify


Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Track record driving cross business segment strategies
  • Experience navigating and partnering with a large and diverse stakeholder mix
  • Roadmap planning and delivery
  • Develop and articulate succinct business rationale supporting recommendations
  • Story telling and presentation skills – ability to understand diverse audience and tune message, generate story board, develop materials, and communicate effectively to stakeholders
  • Collaborative work ethic and attitude
  • Action-oriented drive, positive attitude, flexible, adaptable
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Desire to roll your sleeves up and get things done
  • Ability to deal with uncertainty and take charge of difficult situation

Being nervous is something we all experience yet think it is only us. But we do not have to let it be a paralysing event. Whenever we enter an unfamiliar situation we will experience nervousness. Being nervous increases the stress of any situation. The next time you are feeling nervous before an interview or a meeting here are five things to say to help move from paralysis to action:

I am prepared.

Reality – Stress is felt when one thinks or feels they do not have the resources to meet the demands of the situation. When we prepare well there is a confidence achieved thereby alleviating nervousness.

Perception shift – If you can say you are prepared, anyone listening to you will get the right information. Knowing one’s stuff is more important than a flashy presentation style. The prepared speaker will go further than one of all style and no substance. Be prepared!
